- Ben-1671313: Maybe we can drill without making a mess, but the past doesn't show that we do. And mining typically leaves a horrible mess. Strip-mining, wholesale pollution of the local water table, and these things are usually never cleaned up.

Perhaps you are not aware that the surrounding Arab states have attacked Israel 4 times. Israel secured the Palestinian land as a result of those attacks. When you attack another country, don't cry when they retaliate and take your land. That's the price one pays for attacking them in the first place.
